Food Recall: Waitrose Recalls Indian Takeaway for 2 Over Allergy Risk

Waitrose and Partners has issued an urgent recall of its Waitrose Indian Takeaway for 2 (1412g) with the use-by date of 25 July 2025, after discovering that some packs were incorrectly packed with spring rolls containing sesame and soya, ingredients not listed on the label.

For anyone with an allergy to sesame or soya, eating this product could cause serious allergic reactions.

What Should You Do If You Bought It?

  • Do not eat it if you have an allergy to sesame or soya.
  • Return it to your local Waitrose store for a full refund — no receipt required.
  • For more information, you can contact Waitrose Customer Care on 0800 188 884 (option 4).

Remember: Always check food labels carefully, especially if you or someone in your household has food allergies. Food recalls like this often happen when important allergen information is missing from packaging. The Food Standards Agency (FSA) issues such alerts to help keep everyone safe.
