A Day at the Food Museum, Stowmarket (Formerly the Museum of East Anglian Life)

During our recent visit to the Food Museum in Stowmarket, Suffolk, we explored the fascinating history of farming and rural life. Set in beautiful surroundings, the museum offers an engaging look at historic farming equipment, traditional farm animals, and how agricultural life has evolved through the seasons over the decades.

We also enjoyed the “School Meals Through the Decades” exhibition, which highlights the evolution of school meals and the ongoing efforts to make them healthier for children.

The museum site is family-friendly and well-equipped with:
• A café serving a variety of dishes
• A gift shop
• Toilets and plenty of picnic benches for visitors

The fishing lodge, a perfect spot for a relaxing break, can be pre-booked for a private afternoon tea.

Parking is conveniently located across the road from the ASDA supermarket.
