Simple and Delicious Smoothie Recipes

Fruits and vegetables are excellent sources of minerals, vitamins, fibre, and antioxidants, and they have a low fat content. However, many of us may not be consuming enough to fully enjoy their health benefits. The recommended intake is at least 5 portions of a variety of fruits and vegetables daily.

Smoothies, where fruits and vegetables are blended into drinks, are an easy way to increase your intake and absorb important nutrients as part of a healthy diet.

You can use frozen or fresh, seasonal produce to make your smoothies. Homemade smoothies are preferable to store-bought ones, which may contain added sugars.

From berries, apples, and bananas to avocado and spinach blended with coconut water and turmeric, you can experiment with different fruits, leafy greens, nuts, seeds, and superfood powders to create your perfect, delicious smoothie.
